Courtney Stodden is an American media personality, model, singer-songwriter, who is known for her relationship with actor Doug Hutchison. She has appeared on numerous reality TV shows such as Couples Therapy, Celebrity Big Brother and so on.

Who Is Courtney Stodden?

Courtney Alexis Stodden was born on 29 August 1994 in Tacoma, Washington. She is the youngest daughter of Alex John Stodden and Krista Kay Keller. Courtney has two elder sisters named Ashley and Brittany Stodden. She grew with her sisters in Ocean Shores, Washington.

Stodden suffered from bullying in school because of her mature looks and her mother pulled her out of school at the age of 16. She was then homeschooled and took the class through an online private Christian academy. She competed on Miss Washington Teen USA Pageant in 2010. Moreover, she won the Miss Ocean Shores beauty pageant title in 2013.

After marrying actor Doug Hutchison in 2011, she gained popularity, which led her to appear in numerous reality television series. Her appearance on reality shows includes Couples Therapy (2012), Celebrity Big Brother (2013), The Mother/Daughter Experiment (2016) and Celebs Go Dating (2017). Moreover, she has released numerous singles such as “Car Candy“, “Reality” (2012), “Mistletoe Bikini” (2016), “Daddy Issues” (2018), and “Freak Alert” (2019).

Relationship With Courtney Stodden

At the early age of 16, Courtney signed up on the Internet for an acting workshop taught by actor Doug Hutchison. During the courtship over the Internet for four and six months, they fell in love. Stodden, who was a teenager at that time made her mother aware of their relationship.

After their parents’ approval, Courtney and Doug tied the wedding knot on 20 May 2011 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 16 years old and Hutchison was 51 years old during their marriage. Hutchison was previously married to Amanda Sellers from 2003 to 2005 and Kathleen Davison from 1999 to 2002.

However, in November 2013, their divorce rumors were surrounded but they reconciled in August 2014. They even celebrated their fifth anniversary by renewing their wedding vows on 20 May 2016. But after eight months, they announced their separation. Courtney filed for divorce without requesting spousal support in March 2018. Two years later, they finalized their divorce on 3rd March 2020. Through her Instagram post on the day, she revealed that she had been “groomed” and “verbally abused” throughout the 10 years of marriage.
