Rosa Salazar is an aspiring American actress who earned her recognition from her role as Madeline in the 2015 romantic comedy Night Owls. She is set to appear as Addie in the upcoming 2020 movie Pink Skies Ahead.

Rosa Bianca Salazar was born on 16 July 1985 to parents Luis Santiago Salazar and Marilynne Salazar. Her father emigrated from Peru and her mother is from the USA. She always remembers the dedication of her parents. Meanwhile, she tattooed her father’s name on her torso in the honor of him, who died in 2012. She spent her early life in Hyattsville, Maryland and Washington, D.C. She is of Peruvian and French descent from her family side.

Salazar with a height of 5 feet 4 inches attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt. Afterward, she moved to New York at the age of 19 and started studying acting in the evenings at the renowned Herbert Berghof Studio.

Rosa began her acting career in 2010, from the web series Old Friends. She appeared in the numerous episodes of the web series CollegeHumor from 2010 to 2012. Afterward, she got the opportunity to cast as Zoe DeHaven in the comedy TV show, Parenthood. Her notable role on TV shows includes American Horror Story: Murder House, Man Seeking Woman, Big Mouth, and Undone.

Salazar first appeared in the short movies Looper: Baldness Anxiety and Fortunate Son in 2012. Moreover, she appeared as Lynn in the 2015 fiction The Divergent Series: Insurgent.  Her work on movies includes Search Party (2014), Submerged (2016), The Kindergarten Teacher (2018), and Bird Box (2018). She appeared in the lead role as Alita in the 2019 action Alita: Battle Angel. For her remarkable performance in the movie, she even got nominated for Imagen Award for Best Actress in Feature Film.

Salazar was previously in a relationship with a guy named Sam Setzer. However, the couple recently ended their relationship after a mo0nth of dating in March 2018. Just after their break up, she was even hit with a restraining order by her ex-boyfriend, claiming that she hasn’t left him alone since their split.
