Carley Noelle Shimkus was born on 7 November 1986 in Long Valley, New Jersey. She is the youngest daughter of Edward Shimkus and Zulma Aponte Shimkus. Her father is a chemist, working as a sales engineer at MarChem Northeast Inc. and her mother worked as a flight attendant. She has an older sister named Margot Shimkus, who now works as an art teacher in New York.

She is of mixed descent as her great grandfather, Anthony J. Shimkus migrated to the United States from Lithuania. Meanwhile, her maternal grandfather Adalberto Aponte is from Puerto Rico.

Shimkus reports on various social media trends and entertainment news across the network’s programming that includes FOX & Friends and Mediabuzz. Furthermore, she co-hosted FNC’s 2019 Countdown to All-American New Year alongside Griff Jenkins. She also appears as a co-host of FOX Nation’s Primetime Highlights alongside Rob Schmitt.

The Fox News journalist is currently married to her longtime boyfriend Peter Buchignani for more than four years. The couple first met on her 23^rd birthday in November 2009. They began dating in 2013 and eventually tied the wedding knot on 8 August 2015 in New Jersey. Both the couple is the diehard Michigan football fans and they even walked out to the Michigan fight song on their wedding day.
