Nikki Battiste was born in the 1980s in Newport, Pennsylvania that makes her age in the late 30s. Her birthday falls on 10 January every year. She is the eldest child of Nicholas Battiste and Judy Battiste. Her father Nick taught high school English for more than forty years and also coached wrestling, track & field, and football. Similarly, her mother Judy is a retired high school special education teacher. She grew up in a small, rural town in Amish country with her little brother named Brandon Battiste.
Battiste belongs to mixed ethnicity. She is of Italian, Polish, Slovak and German descent from her family side. Her paternal grandfather was Italian, who was a coal miner, and her Polish grandmother used to work in a garment factory.

Nikki began her career at NBC News Page in 2002, working as a production team on “Saturday Night Live” and “Today” for three years. Moreover, she worked as a production associate at “Today.”
In 2007, she joined ABC News and started working as an editorial producer. She co-produced numerous “20/20” specials and investigative reports. For more than six years, she worked as producer and reporter of ABC News based in New York. There, she covered numerous breaking news and feature stories for all platforms including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight,” “Nightline,” “20/20” and ABCNews.com.
In 2017, Battiste joined CBS News as a freelance correspondent for CBS Newspath. She has reported and written several stories for the “CBS News Evening News” series “Eye on America.” In 2018, she became a CBS News correspondent based in New York.
Her Married Life; Husband, Wedding
Nikki is now married to her longterm love Dean Simpson for more than three years. The duo exchanged the wedding vows on 5 September 2016 at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. On the wedding day, she rode into their cocktail hour on a horse.
They first met through a mutual friend in December 2011. Later, they met again in New York City at the Standard Hotel’s Biergarten in 2012. The duo started dating and after two years, Dean proposed to her on 18 May 2014.
Dean is a UEFA licensed Chief Program Officer at Super Soccer Stars, a youth soccer development program in New York. A native of Wales, he graduated with a Sports Management Degree from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2002. He moved to New York to work as a soccer coach in 2004.
Welcomed A Baby In 2019
Nikki announced that she is expecting a baby with her husband through her Instagram in January 2020. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Beau Nicholas Battiste-Simpson at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center Emergency Department on 13 May 2020.
As of now, the family of three resides in New York City.
