The player was born Ben Anthony Curry on 15 June 1998 in Hounslow, England. His parents are David Curry and Susanne Curry.
Ben has a family background in the educational sector. His father Anthony is the head of Bishop Heber High School in Malpas and his mother Susanne is a PE teacher.
One of the three children in the family, he has an identical twin brother named Tom Curry and an elder sister named Charlotte Curry. Charlotte has represented Great Britain in Frisbee.
Tom is also a professional rugby union player and his teammate at Sale Sharks. Both brothers were trained together by their father until the age of 16.
His Career Journey
Ben began his youth career at Crewe & Nantwich RUFC in 2003. A product of Sharks academy, he made his professional debut for the team in the Anglo-Welsh Cup on 4 November 2016.
Following the 2016-17 season, the flanker and his brother became a joint recipient of Sale Sharks’ Young Player of the Season. He was an important team member which defeated Harlequins in the final of the Premiership Rugby Cup.
Curry has represented the England U18 and U20 teams and was the U20 captain for the 2018 World Rugby Under20 Championship. In 2017, he received his first senior call-up but made his debut in 2021.
On 4 February 2023, he made his debut in the Six Nations Championship game against Scotland.
