Andrew Coyne, age 58, was born as James Andrew Coyne on 2 December 1960, in Ottawa, Ontario. He is one of the kids of his parents, James Coyne and Hope Meribeth Cameron Stobie. He has a sister named Susan Coyne, who is renowned as a writer and an actress.

Canadian native Andrew Coyne grew up in the renowned family as his father was a governor of the Bank of Canada between1955 and 1961. Besides, his paternal great-grandfather, James Henry Coyne, ringed acknowledgment as a Canadian historian and lawyer.

As per his educational background, Andrew received his graduation from Kelvin High School in Winnipeg and thereafter, studied at the University of Manitoba. There, he also worked as the editor of The Manitoban student newspaper. Subsequently, Andrew graduated from the London School of Economics with the master’s degree in economics right after receiving a BA degree in the same specialization from the University of Toronto’s Trinity College.

Andrew joined The Globe and Mail’s editorial board following his six-year stint as a columnist for Financial Post until 1991. Courtesy of his polished editorial skills, Andrew received two consecutive National Newspaper Awards. In the meantime, later in 1998, Andrew joined as a columnist in the National Post.
