The 37-years-of-age comedian/actress was born as Amy Beth Schumer on 1 June 1981 in Manhattan, New York City, New York. She is the daughter of a former businessman father, David Schumer and mother Sandra Jane (née Jones). Amy’s younger sister, Kim Caramele, is a comedy writer and a producer while her half-brother, Jason Stein, is a musician in Chicago.

Amy’s father, who owned a baby-furniture company came from a Jewish family. Besides, her mother was from a Protestant background and deep New England roots. The Schumer family went bankrupt after their business failed when Amy was nine. After that, her parents divorced and she relocated with her mother in Long Island.

Amy lived in Rockville Centre, New York where she attended South Side High School.  Following her graduation in 1999, she joined the Hebrew School of the Central Synagogue of Nassau Country. Subsequently, she moved to Baltimore and graduated with a degree in theatre from Towson University in 2003. Later, Amy returned to New York and enrolled at the William Esper Studio for two years.

Amy started her career with Off-Broadway black comedy Keeping Abreast. There on, she started performing stand-up comedy and later recorded her first performance at Gotham Comedy Club on 1 June 2004.

The talented diva got more notice after she parted in the fifth season of the NBC reality competition, Last Comic Standing in 2007. Later in 2013, she started her journey as a creator, co-producer, co-writer, and star of the Comedy Central sketch comedy series, Inside Amy Schumer.

Amy registered her movie debut as a writer in the 2015 romantic-comedy flick, Trainwreck. Since she marks appearances in movies Snatched (2017) and I Feel Pretty (2018).

Amy Schumer and her chef husband, Chris Fischer are living some joyful hours since the born of their baby boy. The couple welcomed their firstborn on Sunday, May 5. Amy announced the blissful news on her Instagram account where she gave away the sweet caption,

Amy first revealed her pregnancy news last October, some eight months after her wedding with Chris. The couple walked down the aisle together on 13 February 2018 in Malibu, California. Recently on 19 March 2019, Amy disclosed that her husband was suffering from the neurodevelopment disorder for some time now.

Before her relationship with Chris, Amy had a short fling with comedian Anthony Jeselnik and WWE superstar Nick Nemeth, known by his ring name, Dolph Ziggler.
