British professional tennis player Alicia Barnett now ranks world no. 61 in the WTA doubles ranking. She has a career-high ranking of no. 59, achieved on 24 October 2022.
Alicia Barnett Family: Her Parents & Siblings
Barnett was born Alicia Louisa Esmé Evelyn Barnett to English parents on 18 October 1993. Her father is Nigel Barnett and her mother is Jennifer Barnett.
Nigel is the President of the Painswick Lawn Tennis Club in Painswick, Gloucestershire. He played a great role throughout her tennis career. Similarly, her mother Jennifer played collegiate field hockey at Loughborough University.
Alicia suffered a family loss in her early college days. Her mother died after suffering from terminal cancer in September 2014. Well, tennis played an important role in her healing from the tragedy.
One of the four children of her parents, she has a brother named James Barnett and two sisters Jessica Barnett and Sophie Barnett.
James played soccer for Manchester University and Jessica played kickboxing at Cardiff University. Moreover, Sophie played junior county tennis.

Her Tennis Journey
Alicia began playing tennis at the age of seven at the Painswick Lawn Tennis Club which is near her home. At the age of 16. She joined Team Bath Tennis High-International Performance Academy for further development.
Afterward, she joined the ITF Women’s Circuit and began playing in the tournaments. Moreover, she played collegiate tennis at Northwestern University.
Barnett has won 14 doubles titles in the ITF Women’s Circuit. She made her WTA Tour debut with partner Olivia Nicholls at the 2022 Lyon Open in France in March 2022.
