Paige VanZant Short Bio: Age, Parents, Height

The 25-years-of-age UFC star was born with the name Paige Michelle Vanderford on 26 March 1994 in Dundee, Oregon, the United States. She was later raised in Dayton by her parents, Steve VanZant and Rachel VanZant, who owned the dance studio. Paige also has an elder brother.

With the height of 5 feet and 4 inches (1.63 m), Paige was often bullied by her high school peers which also became one of the reasons for her to pursue a career in martial arts. She relocated to Sparks, Nevada following her freshman year and attended TMCC High School, graduating in 2012.

Paige VanZant’s MMA Career

Paige made her professional MMA debut on 30 June 2012, at UWF’s Tournament of Warriors finale against Jordan Nicole Gaze in Texas. She won the bout by split decision. The promising fighter was signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in December 2013. She was supposed to face Kailin Curran on 4 October 2014, but the bout was rescheduled after Paige suffered a back injury.

The newcomer marked a perfect UFC debut by defeating Kailin by TKO in the third round. Following a perfect start, she bagged massive popularity and went on to defeat the likes of Felice Herrig and Alex Chambers.

Paige moved to the flyweight division in August 2017 and made her debut in 2018 facing Jessica Rose-Clark. However, she lost the fight via unanimous decision. Her flyweight division win came on 19 January 2019 after she triumphed over Rachael Ostovich via armbar submission in the second round.

Paige’s Married Life With Fighter Husband

The MMA talent is already basking on a splendid married life. Paige’s husband is none other than the professional MMA fighter and a two-time NAIA All-American and national champion wrestler, Austin Vanderford.

The fighting couple began dating in 2017. Subsequently, Austin proposed to Paige in January 2018, to which she said yes. Paige and Austin walked down the aisle together later in September 2018.
