Later on, Taylor enrolled at Saint Francis Xavier University, where she played collegiate rugby for five years. In the process, she won three national championships.
Eventually, Taylor joined Irving Shipbuilding after graduating from Saint Francis Xavier. She then did her master’s in Project Management from Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Dublin.

Taylor initially played for Nova Scotia Keltics under-18, under-20, and senior teams. She then made her test debut for Canada at the Super Series in June 2015.
