One of the contestants will be the returning champion, Scott Riccardi. A mechanical engineer from Somerville, New Jersey, he secured his 12th straight win on the 18 July episode.

Riccardi will return on the upcoming episode with total winnings of $312,501. The other new face will be a firefighter from Carmel, Indiana, Jeff Hague.
