The entire music world is in disbelief as one of the promising young guitarist, Ryan Siew is dead at age 26. The Australian metalcore band, Polaris announced of Ryan’s passing on Tuesday.
Ryan Siew was an Australian musician who served as a lead guitarist of an Australian up-and-coming metalcore band, Polaris. He died on 19 June 2023, at the age of 26.

Ryan Siew left this world at the age of 26 on Monday, 19 June 2023. The sad news of his passing was announced by his band, Polaris via an Instagram post on 27 June 2023.

Ryan’s bandmates, Daniel Furnani, Jake Steinhauser, Jamie Hails, ad Rick Schneider gave away the heartbreaking news with a long Instagram post that read,
It is with shattered hearts & the deepest sorrow that we tell you our dear brother and bandmate Ryan Siew passed away on the morning of Monday June 19. He was 26 years old, and for 10 incredible years he was our best friend and artistic soulmate.
The band further added,
Our hearts are with his family first and foremost, but also with all those whose lives he touched. We ask that you please respect the wishes of Ryan’s family for privacy at this time, and likewise that you give us, our team and family the space to grieve & attempt to heal from this immeasurable loss. We know that you will be grieving with us and that we, and our community, will hold each other through this.
Following Ryan’s death, the band posted an announcement that they were withdrawing from all their tour dates in their European summer.
As of 29 June 2023, the actual cause of Ryan’s death remains undisclosed. However, as the guitarist had previously posted a photo on his Instagram in January 2023 where he was laying in the hospital bed, some fans speculate that he died because of some illness related to the brain.
