Noma was born to parents Roland Obazelu and Miriam Akugue on 2 December 2003. She is 19 years of age now.

The tennis player was raised in a tennis-loving family. Her father Roland was a boxer and a big fan of German tennis player Steffi Graf. Therefore, her father took her to play kindergarten tennis when she was just three years old.

Noha Akugue is the eldest of three children of her parents. She has two brothers named Gideon and Joseph Noha Akugue. She spent her childhood with her parents and brothers in Reinbek, Germany.

What Is Noma Noha Akugue Ethnicity?

Noma belongs to the African-German ethnicity and has a German nationality. She is the daughter of Nigerian emigrant parents.

Her Career Journey

Noha Akugue was just 11 when she became a district champion in 2015. She won her first women’s tournament in Bremen at the age of 13 in 2017.

Moreover, she won the North German Championships unset in 2018 and was ranked #53 place in the German women’s rankings. She has won one singles title and one doubles title in the ITF Women’s Circuit.

Noma made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2021 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. There, she competed in the doubles event, partnering with fellow German Julia Middendorf.

As of now, she has won prize money of $51,961 in her career.
