Zheng Haohao is making history as one of the youngest-ever Chinese Olympian at the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, she is not the youngest Olympian in the history.
Zheng Haohao is a Chinese park skateboarder and an Olympian. She is competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics as the youngest-ever Chinese athlete.

1. Zheng Haohao Is Not Only Youngest Skateboarder At Paris Olympics 2024
At 11 years and 11 months old, Haohao created history as the youngest-ever Chinese Olympian to compete at the Summer Olympics. However, she is not the only young athlete at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024.
Another skateboarder from Thailand, Vareeraya Sukasem is second youngest to compete in the list at 12 years old. She is followed by a Finland-born skateboarder, Heili Sirvio, who is now 13.

Similarly, there is another skateboarder in the list who is now 14 years old. Canadian Fay De Fazio Ebert is just a year older than another skateboarder from Great Britain, Sky Brown. Brown is now 15.
2. Zheng Haohao Grew Up In Huizhou
Zheng was born in Huizhou, China in 2012. She is 12 years of age and she celebrates her birthday on the 11th of August every year.
Haohao’s English language name is Lilibet.
Zheng grew up in a family of Korean ethnicity. Her mother, Wang Zhe is extremely proud of her daughter’s historic debut in the Olympics games.
Haohao graduated from Jinshan Lake Primary School in Huizhou in July 2024.
3. Zheng Haohao Is Not the Youngest Olympian In History
While Zheng is the youngest Chinese athlete ever to compete at the Olympic games, she is not the youngest player in the history of the Olympics. The title goes to a Greek gymnast, Dimitrios Loundras.
Dimitrios was 10 years old when he competed at the Summer Olympics in Athens in 1896. He became the youngest-ever medalist and competitor in Olympic history at 10 years and 218 days.
Loundras bagged a bronze medal at the Olympics for the Team Parallel Bars events. Sadly, he passed away on 15 February 1970 at the age of 84.

4. Zheng Haohao Started Skateboarding At the Age of 7
Haohao was just 7 when she began practicing skateboarding. She began training at her local skateboarding club which was run by the father of the 2023 Asian Games skateboarding champion, Chen Ye.
When Zheng turned 9, she made history by becoming the youngest athlete to compete at China’s National Games in 2020. She then grabbed her first title at the 2022 Guangdong Provincial Games.
Haohao was ranked 20th among 44 contestants at the women’s skateboarding preliminaries of the 2024 Summer Olympics qualification series with 51.73 points. She was then qualified to take part in the Paris Olympics in the month of June.
