For example, cardiovascular disorders, such as acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and stroke. Additionally, it may raise the odds of infertility in both sexes and the development of several malignancies.  Improving health and well-being also requires quitting smoking.

If a smoker is taking medicine for a mental health illness, they may need to take greater dosages than someone who does not smoke since their bodies break down the drug more rapidly. This may lead to more unpleasant side effects.

Alcohol

A sense of short-term satisfaction is strong when it comes to alcohol, whether it is used as a lifestyle choice or as a means of coping with challenging emotions or issues. However, serious mental health issues may develop as a result. Even if you’re unaware of it, there may be warning indications that alcohol is hurting your mental health.

Problem drinking may lead to a host of mental health issues, such as anxiety, sadness, memory loss, changes in personality, and fuzzy thinking.
