Madison Keys is known for her powerful forehand and fast serve. But recently, the aspiring tennis star had to retire during the 2020 US Open due to injury in the middle of the set while facing Alize Cornet.

American professional tennis player Madison Keys keeps her consistency to be in the top 25 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) since early 2015. Some of her winning achievements include the 2016 Birmingham Classic, 2017 Stanford Classic, and the 2019 Charleston Open.

According to the US Open, the 25-year-old got forced to retire in the second set of the 2020 US Open when she faced Alize Cornet. The game between the two tennis prodigies took place on 5 September 2020 in New York. 

The second set trail was 7-6, 3-2, and Madison’s continuation to proceed further became impossible due to injury. For a fact, there was not a single break serve in the match, but Madison got the first break opportunity after one hour and a 29-minute contest serving at 4-5 in the opening set.
