Josh Hader is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of the MLB. He landed his Brewers’ debut on 10 June 2017, following his multiple trades.

The 25-years-of-age player was born as Josh Ronald Hader on 7 April 1994 in Millersville, Maryland, the United States, to Tom Hader and Patricia Hader.

Josh attended Old Mill High School in Millersville, Maryland. Eventually, he was fascinated with the baseball sport and started playing for the school’s baseball team. While doing so, he was well supported by his parents as they believed that their son would make something out of this in the future.

About 6 feet and 2 inches (1.91 meters) tall in height, Josh had the stats of 10-0 win-loss record with 0.30 earned run average and 125 strikeouts as a senior. After graduating from high school, he was prepared to enroll at Anne Arundel Community College. However, he ended up striking a big fortune in the professional league.

His Career: Trade, Contract

At first, Josh was picked by the Baltimore Orioles in the 19th round of the 2012 MLB draft. Subsequently, he penned a contract with the Orioles for a $40,000 signing bonus. As a beginner, he played in the minor league for the Gulf Coast Orioles in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League and the Aberdeen Ironbirds of the Class A-Short Season New York–Penn League.

Josh was later traded to the Houston Astros on 31 July 2013, the day of the MB trade deadline. He ended his 2013 season with the Quad Cities River Bandits of the Class A Midwest League. Furthermore, he was again traded to the Milwaukee Brewers on 30 July 2015.

He was promoted to the major league by the Brewers on 9 June 2017. Immediately, he tinged his major league debut for the team on the next day. The pitcher ended his 2019 season with a 3-5 record, a 2.62 ERA, and 138 strikeouts over 72 2⁄3 relief innings.

  • Josh is a two-time All-Star and two-time winner of the National League Reliever of the Year Award.
  • He also played for the United States national baseball team in the Pan American Games in 2015 and in All-Star Futures Games in 2016.
  • Back in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game, a series of tweets by Josh ranging from mid-2011 to late-2012 were discovered to contain racial, homophobic, and sexist content. He later issued an apology after the game and blocked his Twitter account.
