1. Wash Your Hands Properly

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and WHO states that wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.


Avoid shaking hands, use a tissue when you blow your nose and put the tissue in the trash. You should avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Quit smoking, which might put you in a better position to weather the coronavirus.

2. Use Of Mask

Well, the use of face masks has been increased after the outbreak of coronavirus. The CDC does not recommend that people who are well wearing a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. Rather, it suggests the people who show symptoms of Covid-19 wear a mask to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.


The use of surgical masks while coughing or sneezing will capture most of your sneeze from possibly infecting somebody else.

3. Prepare Yourself If You Are Sick

As the majority of the cases do not need hospitalization, you can take steps in advance. If you are sick or suffer from flu, stay at home. Prepare yourself for the next few days. As health is the most important, you can take leave from your school or workplace. Moreover, you can ask your employer about a work-from-home option.

Purchase the supply of foods you want while home sick with the flu is a good idea. Moreover, you can store the other essentials: toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent. Avoid close contact with people who are sick or suffering from the flu.

4. Psychological Preparation Is Also Required

Don’t panic and prepare yourself mentally. The virus is contagious but not much as deadly as other outbreaks. Mostly, people with underlying medical problems, smokers are at higher risk.
