She later associated with the network as a full-time reporter in 1979 before leaving for NBC News in 1986. Subsequently, the media figure joined NBC News in January 1987 and anchored NBC News at Sunrise.

Four years later, Deborah switched as an ABC Talk Radio Networks’ host for a prime-time program, The Deborah Norville Show: From Her Home to Yours. A year later in October 1992, she joined CBS News as a correspondent and reported for Street Stories and 48 Hours. She later co-anchored CBS Evening News before holding the position of an anchor of an American TV newsmagazine, Inside Edition in 1995.  Deborah’s next stop was at MSNBC as its prime-time lineup in 2003.

Married Life: Husband, Children

The versatile personality is now enjoying more than three decades of her married life. In fact, it has become around 32 years since she shared the wedding vows with her renowned Swedish businessman husband, Karl Wellner on 12 December 1987. Karl, age 65, serves as the President and CEO of an international wealth management firm, Papamarkou.

The couple first met on a blind date for which Deborah thanked her relatives. Four months later, they shared engagement rings after Karl proposed her twice: once in a sandwich shop in New York City, and again while they were in Brazil. With two yeses came the engagement followed by a nuptial bond at St. James Episcopal Church in New York.

Deborah and Karl share the bliss of three children: two sons, Nick (age 28) and Kyle (age 24) and daughter Mikaela (age 21).
